style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The IBEW Railroad Department represents electrical workers on North America\u2019s freight, passenger and commuter rail systems.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The department handles national negotiations with freight railroad companies and assists the railroad system councils and local unions with their independent bargaining.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Department representatives attend regular meetings with the Railroad Safety Advisory Committee and its working groups on rail safety
